Data Protection Error ID: 326 / The protection agent installation Failed because access was denied.

Error ID: 326 normally appears when the server or computer which you wanted to be protected is already being protected by another DPM server or it has “DPM 2007 Agent coordinator” already installed. Check the followings,

Go to the [Start] > [Run], then type [Services.msc] to open the [Services] window.

In the [Services], check whether the [DPM Agent Coordinator] is been already installed,

If the [DPM Agent Coordinator] is available in the [Services], go to the [Add or Remove Programs], then select [Remove] to uninstall.

Click [Yes] when the Remove Confirmation message appears.

Now you can re-deploy the new DPM Agent to the server.
